Colony of New-York. July 21, 1746. Ten Pounds. Fr. NY-119. PCGS Very Fine-20 Details. Severed and Reattached, Internal Repairs. As illustrated.

Description: Laid paper. Serial No. 8069. Signed by A. Lynsen, C.V. Horne, and Paul Richard. Uniface. Printed by James Parker. Standard size. Two five-pound weight images are part of the imprint to discourage “raising” the value. Its Death To Counterfeit This Bill. Lovely golden paper with nicely inked devices is the order of the day. Tightly margined, as typical for the issue. The curatorial touch-ups to the note were certainly a positive move to our eyes; the original flaw is still visible on the back. Blessed with considerable eye appeal, and with a physical presence that surely must catapult this note to “among the finest known” status.
