Colony of Connecticut. March 1, 1780. Twenty Shillings. Fr. CT-224. PCGS Almost Uncirculated-55 Details. Small Edge Repairs, Masking. As illustrated.

Description: Printed by Timothy Green II. 90mm by 71mm. Laid paper. Serial No. 6817. Signed by John Chester and J. Hamlin. Slit or “X” cancellation somewhat apparent but to no great visual detriment. Evenly centered with faded yet entirely readable red ink number and signatures. The PCGS qualifiers have more bark than bite with this attractive note from the June, 1780 issue. A safe bidding bet with collectors at any level of involvement in early colonial notes.

Pedigree: From Stack’s sale of the John J. Ford, Jr. Collection, Part XV, October, 2006, part of Lot 8034.
