City and County of Albany. June 22, 1775. Ten Shillings New-York Currency. Fr. NY-171.3. PCGS Very Fine-25 Details. Repaired Splits. As illustrated.

Description: Laid paper. Serial No. 4. Signed by Abraham Yates, Jr., in faded red ink, Jacob Lansing, Jr., and Jacob C. Ten Eyck. Uniface. 122mm by 61mm. A visually pleasing note with qualifiers that support a positive appearance. As rare as any denomination from the issue. Regarding this note, the Ford cataloger wrote: “We would not be surprised if this is the finest known of the series and date. An important note for Colonial specialists and an exceptionally early obsolete private scrip note on New York.” A classic rarity for your bidding anticipation.
