City and County of Albany. June 22, 1775. Five Shillings New-York Currency. Fr. NY-171.2. PCGS Fine-12 Details. Repairs. As illustrated.

Description: Laid paper. Serial No. 575. Signed by Jacob Lansing, Jr., Jacob C. Ten Eyck, and Abraham Yates, Jr., in red ink. Uniface. 141mm by 69mm. Another rarity on the issue, one of five different denominations printed to a total of just 500 Pounds. It is thought they were printed in vertical strips. Wide margins on three sides, indented cut at bottom, light period ink notation on verso. About as rare as any period piece from the Colony of New-York, this local issue will see spirited bidding support.
