Obv: WELLS FARGO & COMPANY on rim-to-rim ribbon just below center, stagecoach scene above ribbon with ruffian in woods in gun exchange with shotgun rider, galloping horse with seated messenger firing rifle at standing Native American with bow and arrow below ribbon. Rev: steamship, factories, and power line at top, train to left with boxcar marked WELLS FARGO AND COMPANY EXPRESS in tiny letters below, banner marked 1852 on left end, MARCH 18TH at center fold, and 1902 on right end, baroque shield below with quill pens and notary stamp upper left, crossed keys upper right, above label with EXPRESS AND BANKING, clenched fist with lightning bolts below label, FIDELITY curves at bottom rim. Deep steel-gray with lighter steel-gray high points. The presentation case is dark maroon leatherette outside, with blue velvet and satin lining, and with Wells Fargo & Company / March 18th, 1852 / March 18th 1902 imprinted in top of box. One of somewhat more than 5,000 pieces struck, most of which were given out to any Wells Fargo & Co. employee who had been on the job for one or more years.
