Brilliant and satiny with strong central details. The lively silver-gray surfaces offer hints of golden iridescence here and there, and the in-hand eye appeal is superb for the assigned grade. This attractive piece offers the next steward an insight into Mint technology of the era. There are die stress lines at the rim on both sides, and the reverse exhibits planchet laminations, as struck, with the first appearing at the rim at D ST, and another across the bison’s head and horn and into the shoulder pelt. Choice for the grade and an intriguing specimen overall.
