1876 Type I/II. Proof-64 CAM PCGS.
The fully brilliant obverse and reverse are both lightly dusted with pale champagne-gold iridescence. The contrast between the frosty motifs and the reflective surroundings is crisp and distinct. Every tiny detail of the design is bold and sharp, even down to the stippling on the bale Miss Liberty rests upon. Struck early in the year from the old four-fingered Liberty die. A truly gorgeous representative example of the coiner’s art as practiced in Philadelphia 141 years ago, this splendid Proof would fill the needs and wants of just about any numismatist. We expect a hot time when this beauty comes up for bids.

PCGS Population: 25; 14 finer within the CAM designation (Proof-67 CAM finest).
