Obv: bust of Lincoln left, date below, GOD AND OUR COUNTRY arcs around. Rev: ornate oak and olive wreath with fancy device and six-pointed star at top. Fully brilliant and delightfully lustrous with deep yellow-gold surfaces that yield warm olive highlights in a bold light source. Satiny and somewhat mattelike throughout. Only about a half dozen examples of this issue are confirmed in gold with reeded edge details. Here is your opportunity to obtain a neat adjunct to the U.S. Mint’s pattern series, one that is listed in both Judd and Pollock, and one that is as attractive as it is desirable. Not a Mint product but from a contemporary die-sinker.
