1827 JR-3. Rarity-1. MS-65 PCGS.

Attractive and lustrous steel-gray throughout, with wisps of electric blue and rose-gold in the semi-reflective fields. Sharply struck on the obverse, and with only a hint of weakness at the eagle’s talons. Here is the finest example of JR-3 seen by PCGS, and finer by three full grading points over its nearest competitor within the variety designation. Choice and appealing, and certain to cause a stir at bidding time!
PCGS Population: 1; none finer within the JR-3 designation; 2 others of the date have been called MS-66, but without variety designation.
