1826 O-118a. Rarity-1. MS-65+ PCGS.
Here is a visual “knock-out” from your first admiring glance to your last lingering look. The obverse is a study in pale peach and silver-gray toning that amplifies impressively in a bright light, while the reverse presents a pale violet center with encroaching halos of neon blue and pale sea-green while offering the same reaction to a light source as the obverse. The luster is boldly active and the strike approaches the 100% mark for sharpness throughout. In our eyes, this is a coin that should visit CAC. One of only two “+” examples of the date registered at PCGS for the grade with none finer; the other is designated O-110. Have at it bidders – you won’t find many Capped Bust half dollars in today’s marketplace with this much eye appeal!

PCGS Population: 1; none finer within the O-118a designation. See above for more information.
