Header: Choice AU 1787 Fugio Copper
Description: This attractive Fugio cent -- probably originating in the Bank of New York Hoard -- has sharp and distinct details along with beautiful satiny-smooth natural medium-brown surfaces. The Sun’s “human” facial features and rays appear very sharp. Other than some faint cabinet friction on the sundial, this specimen appears conservatively graded to our eyes. The 1787 Fugio Cent is the first Federal-period struck American coin, with its design inspired by none other than Benjamin Franklin. Overall, an impressive example of the ever popular Fugio Cent.
