It displays subtly-toned silvery surfaces that highlight every needle-sharp detail of the design and lettering - this level of sharpness is virtually unheard of for the issue. It is surely one of the finest known examples of this ever popular coinage.

This specimen was possibly among the 19 pieces from a small hoard discovered at Fulbeck Hall in Lincolnshire and sold at public auction November 13, 2002 by Morton & Eden. Pieces from that hoard are typically seen in high grade condition.
