1652 Massachusetts Bay Colony. Oak Tree Sixpence. Noe-20, Crosby 1a-D, W-400. Rarity-6. EF Details – Damage – Genuine PCGS.

Medium steel-gray centers yield to deep gold and blue toning at the rims. Soft obverse gouges around the tree, another at 52 in the date. Additionally, an old vertical scratch runs between the 6 and 5 in the date, and other small gouges can be found with diligence. Slightly off-center on the obverse affecting the tops of TS IN, reverse evenly centered. Reasonably attractive despite some shortcomings, you may do well to consider this scarce variety.
