This lustrous and somewhat reflective quarter eagle displays an intense array of gold, orange, crimson, and blue that rises to the occasion in a bold light source. The underlying luster adds immeasurably to the overall appearance. No unsightly marks are seen, even under low magnification. In fact, our sentiments parallel those of CAC for this attractive coin – it is a pleasure to behold. At Rarity-5, K-13 is recognized as a variety that is somewhat available to those who search. Indeed, the variety is often selected (“often” is a relative term here) for type purposes owing to its occasional availability. However, in Mint State it is far more elusive than in the circulated grade range. Only a few specialists will ever own an Uncirculated example of this moderately elusive variety, but just such an opportunity is presented here. Many will no doubt rise to the occasion, but only one fortunate bidder will take home the prize.
